Regarding Worship/ Church challenges for people with disabilities: Our daughter is 32 and has Down syndrome. She was in an accident 7 years ago and became a paraplegic. Joni and Friends Ministry has been very helpful to us for many years in multiple ways. Before our daughters accident I was director of a disability ministry at our church and found these resources to be extremely helpful. I have watched disability ministry resources evolve for about 20 years and have learned how effective these guidelines are for successful ministry to the handicapped and their families who love them.
